According to reports, DMX was granted permission last week to travel to Atlanta for a concert IF a sober coach remained with him at all times. The concert has now been canceled DMX has voluntarily entered into an inpatient rehab program approved by the courts, according to RhymesWithSnitch.
DMX is accused of evading $1.7 million in taxes during the peak of his career from 2002 to 2005. Prosecutors say “DMX allegedly went out of his way to evade taxes, including by avoiding personal bank accounts, setting up accounts in other’s names and paying personal expenses largely in cash.”
DMX has been hit with 14 counts of tax evasion. The U.S. Attorney’s office in New York is accusing the rapper of hiding and underreporting $1.7 million in income dating back to 2000, according to reports. DMX has already turned himself in and is facing 44 years in prison if convicted.
On Friday, X sang a song of gratitude to the Yonkers, New York cops who saved his life following a reported overdose back in February.
Despite suffering some personal setbacks over the years, DMX is still a charismatic speaker and lent his voice to a prayer at the beginning of the Bad Boy Reunion tour.
