Onion rings deliciousness has been dated back over 100 years to it’s invention in the 1920’s. According to The National Day Calendar, The Pig Stand restaurant chain, established in Oak Cliff, Texas in the early 1920s, is one of the claimants to the onion rings invention. Years later, A deep-fried onion rings recipe appeared in a 1933 Crisco advertisement in The New York Times Magazine.
