Young Money Entertainment President Mack Maine is mourning the loss of his 20-year-old son, Isaiah “Zeke” Preyan, who died unexpectedly following a seizure earlier this month. The rapper and music executive, whose real name is Jermaine Preyan, confirmed the tragic news in an emotional Instagram post shared on July 28.

According to Maine, Zeke passed away on July 16 in California after suffering a fatal seizure. The date also marked the second anniversary of the death of Maine’s own father, making the day especially painful for the longtime music executive.

“I’m still in shock and still processing the fact that he’s gone,” Maine wrote. “Still confused, still questioning life and why my child and not me.”

Maine, a close associate of Lil Wayne and a key figure behind the scenes at Young Money, described fatherhood as one of the greatest gifts of his life. He remembered Zeke as a kind-hearted, intelligent young man who brought light to those around him. “You were truly my biggest inspiration and motivation,” he added. “My SONshine.”

The tribute was accompanied by personal photos of Zeke, including graduation moments, musical milestones, and family vacations. Maine described his son as “pure,” “innocent,” and full of love, and said he takes comfort in knowing Zeke is now reunited with loved ones who have passed, including his grandparents.

Celebrity friends and fellow artists responded with an outpouring of support. Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, Tyga, and Lauren London were among those offering condolences. “He was such a perfect boy,” Minaj commented.

Mack Maine ended his message with a heartfelt promise: “I love you and I know I’ll see you again… Until we meet again… LOVE.”
