Tyson Beckford Recalls Fight With Diddy Outside Of Bad Boy Office

Supermodel-turned-actor Tyson Beckford has opened up about a dramatic showdown with Sean “Diddy” Combs and his crew in a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, recalling a violent clash that nearly turned lethal outside the Bad Boy Records offices.
Beckford said the incident unfolded years ago outside a Fifth Avenue tattoo parlor when stylist Groovey Lew, associated with Diddy’s entourage, asked him to take a photo. “He started getting tough… next thing you know, he swung on me,” Beckford recounted. The model acknowledged he landed blows in return, later needing six stitches to close a head wound.
An NYPD officer briefly intervened, but both men downplayed the incident. The tension escalated after Lew ran to fetch backup from Diddy and several crew members at the nearby Bad Boy office. Suddenly outnumbered, Beckford sprinted to his nearby Land Cruiser and returned armed with a pistol‑grip Mossberg shotgun. “I only got five [shells] in here… Puff, you going to get it first,” he warned through the barrel’s sight.
According to Beckford, the display of force defused the situation—no shots were fired—but left its mark. Reflecting later, he admitted, “I could’ve saved the world a whole lot of trouble and took him out back then… but then where would I be?”
Beckford said he hasn’t crossed paths with Diddy in years and hinted at lingering tension. Beyond the physical confrontation, the model also claims he took legal action against Diddy over a Sean John clothing deal that soured. All of this, he hinted, will appear in his upcoming memoir and Peacock project, Pretty Boy.
Today, Beckford continues to evolve his career—from reality TV to production—while reminding audiences he’s not a man to be underestimated.
