Hip‑hop icon Jay-Z, also known as Sean Carter, has formally dismissed renewed paternity allegations in federal court, calling them “fabricated” and part of a “decades‑long harassment campaign” by claimant Rymir Satterthwaite. The lawsuit, which revives claims that Jay‑Z fathered Satterthwaite in the early 1990s, was filed May 6 in U.S. District Court in New Jersey .

In court papers filed this week, Jay‑Z’s legal team noted that similar claims havebeen repeatedly rejected by multiple courts, and that a contempt order was issued against Satterthwaite for defying court rulings. They argued that this latest petition is merely another chapter in an extended legal assault aimed at disrupting the rapper’s life and reputation.

Satterthwaite, now 31, alleges his late mother, Wanda, was just 16 when she became pregnant with him after a brief relationship with Carter. He claims Jay‑Z failed to take a DNA test, obstructed legal proceedings by leveraging influence in multiple jurisdictions, and caused him “emotional and psychological distress.”

Jay‑Z’s attorneys counter that Carter only learned of the federal lawsuit in June and is seeking additional time to craft a formal response by the July 18 deadline .

No personal remarks have been issued by Jay‑Z, but his counsel’s statement in court underscored their stance: the allegations are “baseless” and have been “addressed – and rejected – in multiple other courts.”

As the case progresses toward an anticipated hearing and potential discovery phase, public attention remains fixed on the question of whether a DNA test will ultimately resolve the long‑standing dispute.
