Now former President, Barack Obama, has a chance to out shine all previous presidents by making around $20 million for his presidential memoir.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, co-head of ICM Partners’ publishing unit, Esther Newberg predicts, “There’s no doubt Obama’s memoir will go for more than any president’s has ever gone.”
Bill Clinton holds the presidential memoir record of $15 million, while his successor, George W. Bush earned $7 million.
There is no doubt that Obama’s book will do big numbers. The only question is, can he do better numbers than the people’s favorite first lady, Michelle Obama? If Hillary Clinton’s post first lady memoir made her $8 million, Michelle Obama should definitely be able to bring in a few million more.
