President Trump will be in Center City at the annual GOP retreat to meet with Republican lawmakers.
The retreat will take place at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel on 1200 Market Street Thursday, as a result, you can expect these closures from 8am-6pm;
- 13th Street from Chestnut Street to Market Street
- Market Street from 11th Street to Juniper Street
- 12th Street from Chestnut to Arch Street
Any vehicles parked in that area will be towed.
The pedestrian restricted areas are as follows;
- 1100 and 1200 block of Market – both north and south sides
- 12th Street from Chestnut to Filbert Streets – both east and west sides
- 13th Street from Chestnut to Market Streets – both east and west sides
SEPTA also closed the 13th Street Station on the Market-Frankford Line subway from the start of the service day Thursday. As MFL trains skip the station, the 10, 11, 13, 34 and 36 trolley lines will originate and end service at the 15th Street Station throughout the day.
Regional Rail riders will need to enter or exit the Jefferson Station at the 11th or Filbert street exits only.
