A British radio station refuses to play Beyonce’s hit single, ‘Drunk In Love’ citing that it promotes Domestic Violence. I listened to this song over & over again, it’s gotten the most plays in my itunes library & I’m not sure if I agree with this decision. The line that’s in question is from Mr. Carter, ‘ “Now eat the cake, Anna Mae / I said eat the cake, Anna Mae.” Anyone that’s up on Ike & Tina Turner especially with all the funny or not so funny memes on social media know what the line in question mean. In the movie, ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It,’ the very abusive Ike Turner is forcing Tina (Anna Mae) to eat the cake.
