Florida State University quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Jameis Winston will not be charged for sexual assault.

State Attorney Willie Meggs made the announcement December 6th during a press conference, stating that all prior changes of sexual assault have been dropped.

The investigation started after a woman told police she was sexually assaulted by an unknown man the winter of 2013. She then identified Winston as the man who assaulted her.  Tallahassee police did not pursue the case claiming the woman who made the claim did not want to cooperate with investigators.

Jameis Winston who is a sophomore at Florida State is leading college football in the Heisman Trophy race and looks to continue his great career as Florida State QB.

The full report from the State Attorney’s office will be posted as public record for people to read.
