*Larry King has taped an interview with Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James that is scheduled to air this Friday at 9 p.m. – which just so happens to fall between Game 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals.

The most coveted free agent in NBA history spoke with CNN’s veteran host on Tuesday at his home near Akron. [Watch preview below.]

Other than his postgame interview, James has not talked to the media since the Cavs were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics, who then knocked off Orlando and will meet the Los Angeles Lakers in the finals.

In the preview clip below, James says Cleveland has “an edge” on retaining his services, however, the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and New Jersey Nets are among a group of teams expected to make a strong push when free agency opens July 1.

James also said it would be fun for all of the summer’s A-list free agents – including Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Carlos Boozer – to get together for a summit and talk strategy, as has been heavily rumored.
