As the rumors swirl about the Eagles starting QB since 1999, reports are saying don’t buy into the early hype. Not necessarily because McNabb is defiantly staying put, but because the real deadline for the Eagles to move him or keep him is May 5th. You see, McNabb would be due a roster bonus of 6.2 million dollars on May 5th if he still is on the team. (Which I could get an extra 6 mil just for showing up!) If McNabb is still on the team come May 5th, expect him to start this year. Originally it was thought that he would have to be traded by the NFL Draft, which is April 22nd. Supposedly if he is traded, the Oakland Raiders would be the front runners to get him. One thing is for sure, the next 6 weeks will say a whole lot to us die hard Eagles fans about the direction the team is going in.
