Tyler Perry’s upcoming movie For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf is about to be brought to life with an all star YBF cast. According to Black Voices, Tyler Perry has revealed that Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, and Macy Gray will all co-star in the dramedy.

The film is based on the 1975 play which also was developed into an Emmy nominated tv show. The play, which is still performed in numerous places around the world, “consists of a series of poems performed through a cast of nameless women, known only by a color. It deals with such subjects as love, abandonment, rape, and abortion.”

The cast starts filming this June in New York and is set for a January 14, 2011 release!
