According to ESPN, the Philadelphia 76ers are near completion of a trade that sends Jahlil Okafor to Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Trevor Booker.
The Sixers will also send the Nets Nik Stauskas and a 2019 second-round pick.
Jahlil and The Sixers staff have been at odds for a while now. Okafor has be held out of the line up, despite being healthy. #FreeJah had become a trend after Okafor’s father was spotted wearing a tee shirt with the hashtag to games. “I would like for them to just send me somewhere where I can get an opportunity,” Jahlil said back in Novemebr, “I’ve done everything they’ve asked of me, and I would just like to get an opportunity to play with a trade or a buyout. I just hope something happens quickly.
