Singer and actress Letoya Luckett has been tapped to play a legendary R&B vocalist in an upcoming biopic. An original member of Destiny’s Child, Letoya has been hustling for many years, carving out for herself a successful career as a solo artist. She’s the second member of Destiny’s Child to have ever had an album debut at number 1 on the billboard charts, right behind the Queen Bey herself.
Not only that, but she’s been working steadily as an actress ever since her 90s R&B days. Now, she’s been tapped to use both her acting and singing chops for a big role, and not just on screen- in the studio, as well.
