The debut of Redman and Method Man, on this date in 1999, the hip-hop duo released their debut project, Blackout! After many collabs, they finally released a full length project, and the people loved it!

The album debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 254,000 copies sold, and was the precursor to the 2o01 movie, How High. The album has over 1 million copies sold, and considered a major landmark for East Coast hip-hop.

 

Unknown Fact

Originally the name of the album was to be Amerikaz Most Blunted, but was changed for more commercial acceptance!
