Sharks have been making quite the splash this summer with multiple headlines about attacks off the coast of North Carolina.

But on Monday, one shark didn’t just come close to shore, it made it all the way to a beach on Cape Cod.

Over 40 people gathered on Monday near a 7-ft. great white male shark that got stranded near South Beach in Chatham, Massachusetts, as the tide went out.

Captured on video bystanders people came forward to help the shark by keeping it wet.

They splashed buckets of water on it until officials were able to pull it back into the ocean. Would you have helped this shark?
