YO who the freak knew that Mark Wahlberg ‘ain’t’ have his High School Diploma?????? Wahlberg had a troubled childhood (statistically speaking like most dropouts) & dropped out of school in the ninth grade but by the blueprint of his career one would really not know it. The 42yr old father of 4 wanted to be the example for his children to follow. “I didn’t want the kids saying, ‘You didn’t do it, so why do I need it?’ They are all wanting to do things in their future that require an education.” Wahlberg didn’t much like the idea of having to handle math equations & such but he faced that fear & finished his online classes back in June.
“The greatest regret in my life is quitting school. I was lucky, but a lot of my friends who did the same ended up incarcerated or dead.”
He added, “Now I have a different perspective: that what’s cool in life is being a good person, and doing the right thing. I take any opportunity I can to speak to teens and encourage them, first and foremost, to graduate high school. And today, I’m proud to say I’m leading by example by joining the Class of 2013.”
