Sam Bradford‘s less than stellar career with the Philadelphia Eagles is now over.
The Minnesota Vikings gave a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to the Eagles for Bradford in a blockbuster trade. Rookie Carson Wentz will now be your starting quarterback for the Eagles.
When the Eagles drafted 2016 first-round pick Wentz with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft Bradford asked for a trade and held out of team off-season activities but returned. Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater‘s horrific knee injury opened up a potential starting spot for a team who feels they have a shot at the playoffs.
While the Eagles are officially preparing for the future, in a sense getting some of the picks back they lost by moving up in the draft to get Wentz in the first place.
