One of Philadelphia’s most beloved figured is facing backlash from his recent appearance with the President.

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley has been under fire on the internet after photos surfaced of him along side President Donald Trump on the golf course.
Barkley took to social media to defend himself, stating that he respects the government, regardless of who is in position.
“lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT.” Barkley wrote on X. “Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump ! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day”

In 2018, after the Eagles won Super Bowl LII, they did not go to the White House, primarily in response to the lingering hostilities between President Trump and the NFL over the national anthem.
