Former Eagles Quarterback Nick Foles has just announced his retirement from the NFL today (Aug. 8). Foles will forever be in the hearts of Philadelphians after leading the Eagles to victory at Super Bowl LII, while earning the MVP trophy for his efforts.

Foles took to social media to announce his retirement in a video that explained how he fell in love with the game of football through his father, and how the game will be forever apart of him.
“After much thought and prayer, I’ve decided to retire from the NFL.” Foles captioned on Instagram. “It’s been an incredible 11-year journey filled with unforgettable moments and amazing people. From being drafted by the Eagles to winning the Super Bowl, every step has been a blessing. I’m excited to spend more time with my family and embrace the next chapter of my life. Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, team staff, and fans for your unwavering support. I am forever grateful.”
Foles spent the last season of his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts in 2022 where he completed 25 passes for a total of 224 yards. Foles has thrown for a career 14,227 yards, for 82 touchdowns and a career passer rating of 86.2
