One of the founding members of hip-hop group 2 Live Crew, Christopher “Fresh Kid Ice” Wong Won, has passed away at the age of 53 according to his agent. DJ DBo, Wong Won’s agent, stated that Fresh Kid Ice was dealing with heal issues recently, but did not elaborate.
Fresh Kid Ice helped form the Miami based 2 Live Crew in the mid 1980’s and was the only member to appear on all their albums. He is widely regarded as a pioneer for Asian rappers.
