Monie Love is a full-on Jamaican woman, and she likes to slip into patois every now and again. She does this especially when the Ed Lover Show plays reggae or dancehall, and poor Big City just can’t understand what the singer or rapper on the song is saying. Monie is kind enough to translate so Big City can gain some clarity.

While hilariously recounting a story about providing proof of residence to her bank, she also sheds some light on the lyrics of Terror Fabulous‘ 1994 song “Action,” by providing some translations to the chorus. Click on the audio player to hear more in this funny clip from the “Ed Lover Show.”
