Real hip-hop heads are rejoicing. During an interview with the Rap Radar Podcast, L.A. Reid, Epic Records’ chairman and CEO, confirmed Tribe Called Quest is about to release their upcoming sixth studio album, which is their first in 18 years. The album was recorded before the Tribe member Phife Dawg suddenly passed away, and is promised to be something really special. Head over to Rap Radar for the full segment. [Rap Radar]

The Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour has been postponed for one week, according to the Associated Press, as Puff Daddy is recovering from shoulder surgery. A spokesperson for Puff says the downtime will give him “the much needed time he needs in order to recover and give fans the incredible stage experience they have come to expect.” [Complex]

Gucci Mane and Zaytoven are in full swing with their “Woptober” campaign and have dropped the first of three freestyles they plan to release over the next 24 hours. Listen to the duo connect on their first track “GuccTiggy.” [Miss Info]

Future is adding more talent to his growing bench of artists. The “Wicked” rapper just signed 23-year-old Atlanta rapper Steelo Steezy to his Freebandz label. Steelo has been generating buzz even without a mixtape, which is apparently what convinced Future to take him under his wing. [XXL]
