The Ed Lover Show is celebrating 28 years of “Yo MTV Raps,” MTV’s pivotal first ever television program geared toward hip-hop. Ed Lover talks about A Tribe Called Quest, the memorable and historic hip-hop group that had its humble beginnings in Queens, New York, in the same neighborhood where Ed lover, LL Cool J and many other major hip-hop figures started their hip-hop journey.

To commemorate A Tribe Called Quest and the late Phife Dawg, who passed away earlier this year, Ed Lover takes us back to their Live Fridays performance on “Yo MTV Raps.” Click on the audio player to enjoy this moment of hip-hop history in this exclusive clip from the Ed Lover Show.
