If Carmelo Anthony is chasing championships, he will be doing it from the vantage point of New York City. Reports claim that the NBA All-Star Forward is finalizing a deal to stay in the Big Apple estimated to pay him in the range of $120M. In interviews this past season, he was adamant that money was not his concern and winning championships is key, but signing with the Knicks offers him the most money for an NBA contract, his family loves NYC and Phil Jackson at the front desk with championship experience may have been key to his decision. However, on paper the Chicago Bulls and the Houston Rockets, both teams that were interested in signing the free agent star player are statistically better teams.
