Meek Mill Suing The City Of Philadelphia For Wrongful Arrest In 2012

Meek Mill is suing the city of Philadelphia because of a wrongful arrest back in 2012 that caused him to lose roughly $2M in revenue.  He was set to board a private jet to Atlanta when cops stopped and arrested him after he refused to be searched.  Meek had to cancel a jet flight and a performance in Atlanta because of the arrest.  The bad publicity from the arrest even affected him at the bargaining table when he was at the time in negotiations with the athletic shoe company Puma and instead of getting a deal around $2M, he had to settle for $650K.  Therefore, Meek is suing the city for false imprisonment and invasion of privacy.  For more info on the story click below!
