NBA Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant announced today via Facebook that he will make his season debut this Sunday versus the Raptors. He had been out since April after suffering a torn left Achilles injury. The injury normally takes 8-12 months to recover from so he is ahead of schedule and will play limited time until he becomes comfortable.
“Getting your sea legs, it takes some time to do that”…..”That’s why we have preseason games and it builds to the regular season. It just takes a while, no matter how much running and conditioning you do, to get out there and play is different. So I’m sure I’ll be limited in some capacity.”-Kobe on returning to playing
