Suge Knight Claims Tupac’s Ashes Were Smoked in Blunts After Rapper’s Death

Former Death Row Records executive Suge Knight is sharing a bizarre and previously little-known account of what allegedly happened following the death of Tupac Shakur in 1996.

According to Knight, Tupac’s mother wanted the legendary rapper cremated immediately after his death. Knight told TMZ that he became involved in arranging the cremation and eventually made an extraordinary financial offer to a funeral home worker to have it completed that same night.

Knight claims he first offered $200,000 for the immediate cremation. After the offer was reportedly rejected, he said he returned with an additional $1 million, bringing the alleged total to $1.2 million. Knight says the larger offer was accepted and Tupac was cremated that night.

But Knight’s account took an even stranger turn when he described what allegedly happened to Tupac’s ashes afterward.

Knight claims that Tupac’s mother had friends and relatives gather at her Las Vegas hotel room, where they allegedly mixed the rapper’s ashes into marijuana blunts and smoked them as a final tribute.

Knight said he did not participate because he was on probation at the time and was concerned that doing so could violate the terms of his probation.

Tupac was shot in Las Vegas on Sept. 7, 1996, while riding in a BMW with Knight. The rapper died from his injuries six days later at the age of 25.
