Trina Announces Her Final Album After 25 Years in Hip-Hop

Miami rap icon Trina plans to close the chapter on her recording career with her upcoming album. The veteran rapper recently revealed during an appearance on 99 JAMZ Live that the project will mark her final album after more than 25 years in hip-hop.
Trina entered the spotlight in 2000 with her debut album, Da Baddest Bitch, and quickly established herself as one of the most recognizable women in Southern hip-hop. The album reached the Top 40 on the Billboard 200 and earned Gold certification from the RIAA later that year.
Throughout her career, Trina released six studio albums and built a catalog filled with major collaborations and fan-favorite records. Her 2008 album, Still da Baddest, became her highest-charting album on the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 6. The project also topped the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Her most recent studio album, The One, arrived in 2019 after a nearly decade-long gap between albums. The project featured appearances from artists including Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and 2 Chainz and showcased Trina’s evolution as both an artist and a woman.
Now, Trina appears ready to deliver one final full-length project. Fans have already shown strong interest in her next album, which many have referred to as “T7.” Trina has returned to the studio to work on the highly anticipated project, giving longtime supporters another opportunity to hear her signature Miami sound.
Although Trina plans to end her album run, her announcement does not necessarily signal an immediate exit from hip-hop. After more than two decades in the industry, the rapper has established a lasting legacy that extends beyond music.
