Rod Wave Arrested on Multiple Charges in Fulton County

*UPDATE: May 21, 2025 @ 10:30 AM
Rapper Rod Wave was arrested in Fulton County on Tuesday (May 20) on multiple charges.
According to a police report from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the 26-year-old hitmaker, whose real name is Rodarius Marcell Green, was booked on 14 charges stemming from an incident on April 21, 2025. Those charges include Aggravated Assault, Pointing or Aiming Gun or Pistol at Another, Reckless Conduct, and Tampering with Evidence. He was released on the same day on $50,000 bond.

As reported by TMZ, on April 21, Rod visited his Atlanta-area home with realtors and other associates after the home was burglarized. Police say he got into a verbal argument with one of his associates as they were carrying out items.
At that moment, Rod pulled out a Glock 20 10mm semiautomatic pistol and fired 14 rounds. 11 of those rounds hit his associate’s 2025 Mercedes G Wagon, according to law enforcement.
Once police were alerted, Rod allegedly began cleaning up shell casings and tried to flee the scene to prevent apprehension. His actions ultimately broke his active bond order from a battery incident in October 2020.
In response to the charges, Rod’s attorneys Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg sent a statement to TMZ:
“There is no truth to these charges. Rod Green was a victim of a burglary and committed no crimes. How he was even charged as a result of this situation is incomprehensible. This will absolutely be resolved favorably to Mr. Green.”
The “Last Lap” artist has had a few run-ins with the law in recent years. Previously, Rod was arrested in 2022 on strangulation and battery charges, which were later dropped. In 2024, he was arrested for possession of a firearm, a charge that his attorneys told TMZ was incorrect.
