In an ongoing legal battle, Tory Lanez’s defense team has introduced new claims, alleging that Kelsey Harris, a former friend of Megan Thee Stallion, admitted to firing the gun during the 2020 shooting incident. According to Lanez’s attorneys, the claim is backed by a statement from a former bodyguard who was allegedly present during the altercation.

The shooting, which occurred in the early hours of July 12, 2020, outside a Hollywood Hills party, left Megan Thee Stallion with gunshot wounds to both feet. The rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete, later accused Tory Lanez (whose real name is Daystar Peterson) of shooting her. Lanez was charged with assault with a firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

However, Lanez’s defense has maintained his innocence, suggesting that Harris—who had a complex relationship with Megan—may have been the one who fired the gun. Lanez’s attorneys argue that Harris admitted to shooting Megan in an alleged statement made to the bodyguard, a key witness in the case. They contend that Harris’s actions and motive are crucial to understanding the full sequence of events that transpired that night.

The defense team’s allegations add another layer to the already highly publicized case, which has divided fans and commentators alike. While Megan Thee Stallion’s testimony has remained firm against Lanez, claiming that he was the shooter, this new development has prompted questions about the truth behind the chaotic events leading up to the shooting.

As the case continues to unfold, all eyes are on the courtroom as both sides prepare to present their evidence and challenge the credibility of each other’s claims.
