February 21, 2010 marks the 45th anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm X, born May 19,1925 Omaha, Nebraska. He was a courageous advocate for the rights of African Americans, a man who indicted white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black Americans. His detractors accused him of preaching racism, black supremacy, and violence. He has been described as one of the greatest and most influential African Americans in history. His memory will live on forever in all he has done for African Americans throughout his lifetime. We take this moment in Black History Month to appreciate his life and legacy.
