Diddy is suing NBCUniversal and Peacock TV for defamation, and he’s seeking at least $100 million dollars in damages.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs,  reportedly filed the lawsuit Wednesday morning in New York State agaiinst NBCUniversal for “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy”, a documentary streaming on Peacock. While the federally indicted mogul has a line of allegations against him — from federal charges to a number of lawsuits — he believes NBC “maliciously accuses” him of murdering “the love of his life” and mother to his children, Kim Porter.

Diddy’s attorney Erica Wolff says, “In making and broadcasting these falsehoods, among others, Defendants seek only to capitalize on the public’s appetite for scandal without any regard for the truth and at the expense of Mr. Combs’s right to a fair trial. Mr. Combs brings this lawsuit to hold Defendants accountable for the extraordinary damage their reckless statements have caused.”

In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Diddy accuses NBC of defamation of character, as the L.A. County Coroner confirmed Kim’s death was from natural causes and there’s no evidence of foul play. However, the documentary portrays Combs as the killer. Diddy also alludes to the documentary amplifies YouTube conspiracy theories claiming that it isn’t a “coincidence” Kim and others in Diddy’s world are no longer living.

Diddy has been behind bars since September of 2024 after being arrested on multiple charges.

Some of these charges include sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His legal woes recently worsened after federal prosecutors in New York filed a superseding indictment against him, adding two more female victims and a series of allegations to the case.

Diddy’s trial is set to being on May 5, 2025. If convicted, Diddy will be facing up to life in prison.
