Too Short Posts Tearful Video After The Killing Of His Brother

Rapper Too Short, whose real name is Todd Shaw, shared videos on his Instagram of him mourning the lost of his brother.
Too Short’s brother, 61 year old Wayne Shaw, was shot and killed early Wednesday morning around 7 a.m. in East Oakland.The shooting happened during a botched robbery that happened in the 1200 block of 49th Avenue near East 12th Street. Several sources with knowledge of the investigation said Shaw died while protecting a marijuana grow operation. They believe the suspects were attempting to rob the location.
The Oakland police department have speculation that an unknown number of suspects tried to use a vehicle to force their way into a property where Shaw was. When he exited the building, he was confronted by the suspects, who shot him multiple times. Police have yet to make any arrest at this time.
The shooting happened not far from “Too $hort Way,” which was renamed in honor of Two Short in 2022. Too Short is referred to has the Godfather of Bay Area Hip-Hop. Two $hort Way runs along football Boulevard between High Street and 47th Avenue.
