If you or someone you know is in need of some warmth through this rough winter, below is a list of warming centers that provide both heat and electric.
Managing director Adam K. Thiel alongside City officials shared details about the City’s newly opened warming centers. The centers also provide services and help for what happens during a Code Blue. Due to the extremely cold conditions, Office of Homeless Services (OHS) declared a Code Blue on Thursday, Jan 2 until further noticed. During this time, the city of Philadelphia is implementing special measures to keep people who are homeless safe.
Due to the cold weather, public schools across the tri state either closed down or went virtual. You can check the listing of schools on 6 ABC’s website.
