Denzel Washington tells the people that he plans to retire from acting after finishing up his next few movies.

In a recent interview with Today, Washington confirms that he plans to retire from acting after a handful of new projects that he has lined up. As of now, Washington has only four more mainstream movies on the horizon after Gladiator 2. 

The actor plans on play several iconic Shakespeare characters, and that he will be appearing in upcoming films. Some of the filmmakers he will be working with is Steve McQueen and Ryan Coogler, who is responsible for casting Washington in Black Panther 3. 

Washington remains best known for iconic roles in movies like Malcom X, Training Day, Man On Fire, American Gangster, and The Equalizer. WIth Washington retiring, it certainly will be a loss for Hollywood. However, he has left a legacy over the last few decades and has ultimately had an enviable career worth celebrating.
