Coco Gauff Earns Largest Check In Professional Tennis History
Professional tennis player Coco Gauff made history by earning the largest check in one tennis match.
With her being the winner at the WTA finals yesterday, it officially made her the youngest tennis player to get paid millions from one match. The 20 year old earned 4.8 million from the match. This high earning beats out 2023 ATP finals winner, Novak Djokovic, who reportedly earned 4.4 million from one match.
Not only is she the most paid tennis player, but she became the youngest tennis player to win a WTF Final match in 20 years.
Gauff was asked what her intentions were to use the prize money, but she is currently unsure. She told reporters that she already bought her home, so she will find a good used to put the money towards.
