A 64 year old woman from Thailand was in her kitchen doing the dishes when all of the sudden she felt a sharp pain in her thigh. It turns out the sharp pain was a huge python wrapping around her legs.

The python was about 13 to 16 feet long and wrapped itself around both her thighs and her torso and did not release for two hours. The woman said that when she went to sit down the snake bit her immediately.

Although pythons are non-venomous creators, they kill their prey by squeezing the left out of them.

The woman stayed propped up against her kitchen door and cried for help. It wasn’t until a neighbor was walking by and heard her cries for help an hour a a half later.

The police found the woman still wrapped up by the snake and looking pale and exhausted. Police and animal control used a crowbar to hit the snake on the head until it released the woman.

The woman was treated for several snake bites but otherwise she was unharmed. Over the past year, 26 people in Thailand were killed by snakes.
