The indictment of the Small family came less than a week later after the principle of Atlantic City High School was indicted in a case stemming from the Small indictments.
The high school principle, Constance Days-Chapman, was indicted on official misconduct, child endangerment, and other charges due to not reporting the alleged abuse that was happening to the Smalls’ daughter. It is required by law to report any type of endangerment to the states child welfare authorities if there is signs of abuse. According to the indictment, the Smalls’ daughter told the school principle that she was suffering from continuous headaches from being beaten by her parents.
Days-Chapman is known to be a close friend to Marty Small, and works under the leadership of La’Quetta Small. Therefore, instead of telling the welfare authorities, she just told the Smalls’ family.
