63 Philadelphia schools Dismissing Early Tuesday, Wednesday Due to Excessive Heat

A host of schools throughout the Philadelphia school districts will be releasing their kids from school early on Tuesday (Aug. 27) and Wednesday (Aug. 28) due to extreme weather conditions.
This has been an ongoing struggle for the school district of Philadelphia to maintain adequate cooling in some buildings, providing a safe and conducive environment for students to learn.
According CBS Philly’s NEXT Weather forecast, temperatures will reach the upper 80s and low 90s on Tuesday and into the low-to-mid 90s on Wednesday, with feels-like temperatures likely ranging from 100 to 103 degrees.
There will be 63 schools that will dismiss their students early, but all other schools in the district will run on a regular schedule.
