As the Olympics comes to a close, one new event that a lot of people were excited to watch was Olympic Break Dancing.
Australian b-girl Rachael Gunn is currently going viral and is drawing criticism after her Olympic Performace.
Rachael, otherwise known as “Raygun” scored zero points as she tried to win the Olympic Gold. Raygun said she was trying to woo the crowd with her “kangaroo dance” along with other moves, but it did not end in her favor.
“I was never going to beat these girls on what they do best: their power moves; what I bring is creativity,” said Raygun to ESPN.
One of the Olympic head judges, Martin Gillian, defended Raygun. He said “breaking is all about originality and bringing something new to the table. This is what Raygun did in her performace. She got inspired by her surroundings, which in her case, was the kangaroo.”

Raygun said that although she sees the critiques, she is still unbothered.
Japan’s Amy Yuasa won gold, Lithuania’s Dominika Banevic won silver, and China’s Liu Qingyi won bronze.
