kidNEWARK, Del. – January 16, 2010 (WPVI) — On January 15 at approximately 7:15 p.m. a 7-year-old girl was standing near her parents’ car in front of her home when an unknown male approached the victim, covered her mouth and grabbed her wrists, according to police.

He proceeded to walk the girl away from the residence and attempted to flee with her eastbound on Casho Mill Road on foot.

In the area of Studio Green Apartments, the victim was released and she fled back to her residence. Upon discovering their child missing, the father began to search the area the area in his vehicle. He located her running towards her residence and picked her up at which time he learned of the incident. After a brief search of the area the father returned the victim home and called 911.

The suspect is described as a male, 5’8-5’11, large build, and seen wearing a black ski mask.
