In his first start since 2006 Michael Vick overcame a high-scoring performance by the Detroit Lions to notch the Eagles first win of 2010. Completing 21-of-34 passes for 284 yards with two touchdowns Vick was a flashback to his Pro Bowl form leading his team to a 35-32 win. The embattled quarterback was starting in place of injured Kevin Kolb and may have Philadelphia football fans insisting that he keep the starting job.

However,  Eagles coach Andy Reid insists that Kolb will be the starter in week 3.

Vick was signed by the Eagles after serving an 18-month prison sentence for his role in a dogfighting operation and spent last year as a backup. But when the Eagles traded veteran Donovan McNabb to the Washington Washington Football Team Vick moved up to number two on the team depth chart. The former star for the Atlanta Falcons  took advantage of his first start in convincing fashion.

On top of hitting receivers DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin for touchdown passes, Vick rushed for 37 yards and finished with a passer rating of 108.

“You should have seen him before the game,” Reid told ESPN. “He was like a kid in a candy store. He was so excited about getting a second chance at being a starter in this league.”

Watch game highlights below and let us know if you think Vick should be the starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles.
