Football player and activist, Colin Kaepernick has been named to TIME’s short list of candidates for 2017 Person of the Year. Kaepernick spent this NFL season being blackballed from the league, but we have spoke his name more than any player currently playing. Even though Kaep isn’t in the league currently, the protest he started to bring awareness to injustice has significantly grown.
Other candidates include; Patty Jenkins (director of ‘Wonder Woman‘), Kim Jong Un (leader of North Korea), The #MeToo Movement, and President Donald Trump.
