Just as we were starting to trust the process, the process left us hanging, again.

Just last week, we found out that the 2016 number 1 overall draft pick, Ben Simmons, will not be making his NBA debut this season. After a recent scan on his injured right foot, they found it to not be fully healed and decided to keep him out of the little amount of games left in the 2016-17 season.

Now Joel Embiid, who has only played 31 games in his first three NBA seasons, has been ruled out for the remainder of this season with a meniscus tear in his left knee. Sixers President of Basketball Operations, Brian Colangelo said, “Our primary objective and focus remains to protect his long-term health and ability to perform on the basketball court.”

On the plus side, with both Simmons and Embiid out with injuries and Nerlens Noel now in Dallas, it looks like we’ll be getting a great pick in a very good draft.
