Bun B, rapper and half of the legendary southern rap duo UGK (the late Pimp C being the other half), caught up with Ed Lover backstage at Atlanta’s A3C Festival. He opens up about how it feels to still be performing after so many years in the business, the bittersweet feeling of doing it without Pimp C, and why he doesn’t think he’d be comfortable performing with a Pimp C hologram.

He reveals his picks for who he’d want to play him in a biopic about UGK, and the two rappers he still really wants to work with. He also talks about getting used to the new terms of endearment younger generations of hip-hop makers and listeners reserve for artists of his caliber. Plus, he explains what he thinks it is about him that young people love and respect, and why he does his best to show love to young artists coming up.
