CeeLo Green talks about his first solo album, and how the rest of the guys in Goodie Mob felt about him making the decision to venture out on his own. He discusses what he says is his breakout as a solo artist, and what the difference was between what he created on his own and the “straight laced, suited up, militancy social consciousness” of Goodie Mob.

He recalls the story of how his insanely popular song, F*ck You, came out in 2010. He says that after overcoming some initial awkwardness between himself and producing duo Bruno Mars and Philip Lawrence, CeeLo was able to join forces with Bruno’s creative team to create it. It ended up resonating so well with the general public, it charted in the top 10 in thirteen different countries. Plus, he talks about what the song really means to him, more than just as a song about a breakup. Click on the audio player to hear more in this exclusive interview on the “Ed Lover Show.”
