Enjoy Hulu’s free streaming TV subscription while you can.

The media company plans on dropping the free option, giving users paid subscriptions as their only choices to stream network TV shows.

Ben Smith, Hulu’s senior vice president and head of experience, tells The Hollywood Reporter significant upgrades to its paid models made the free service obsolete.

“As we have continued to enhance that offering with new originals, exclusive acquisitions, and movies, the free service became very limited and no longer aligned with the Hulu experience or content strategy,” Smith said.

The end of Hulu’s free service coincides with a new partnership with Yahoo revealed Monday. The media company will launch Yahoo View, a free service where users can watch the last five episodes of TV shows from ABC, Fox and NBC eight days after their original broadcast. It will also leverage blogging site Tumblr, allowing users to search for GIFs or photos from recent episodes. Continue [HERE].
