Miguel In Concert - New Orleans, LA

The recent shootings in America have greatly affected everyone—including celebs.

Miguel is one star who often uses his music to channel his feelings, and at London’s Wireless Festival on Friday night, the singer got teary-eyed as he addressed the past week’s police violence following the deaths of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and Dallas officers.

He told the crowd, “We can’t let shit just blow over and not take action anymore. Look, our children will inherit this Earth when we’re gone. What are we leaving for them? What are we doing for them now, not tomorrow? Now!”

On Friday, Miguel released the track “How Many,” dedicated to the Black Lives Matter movement. While performing the song at Wireless Festival, he told the crowd, “We cannot rest anymore. We have to do something. We have to say something. I’m sorry if I’m preaching to you. But it’s true.”
