The Lonely Island, comprised of funny-men Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, exploded onto the scene with gut-busting comedy on SNL in 2005. They talk about the dozens of shorts they created together at the historic sketch comedy show. They also talk about being influenced by hip-hop in high school.

What they studied in college, what their parents wanted them to be, and how their families received their decisions to go on to filmmaking and comedy. Plus, Akiva and Jorma talk about how they reacted when they learned that Andy would be on SNL, before finding out that they would also be hired by the comedy show at the same time. Check out the exclusive video above to see this funny interview on the Ed Lover Show.
